Hollow Metal Minispheres and Methods of Their Consolidation

In this paper, we consider some technologies for the preparation of HMMS and the main directions for constructing from them. For research, mainly were used HMMS, obtained by spraying a powder material on the basis of the iron-carbon on spheres from expanded polystyrene, then followed sintering. The minispheres had a diameter of 3-5 mm and a wall thickness of 60-120 μm. Multilayer steel-copper minispheres were also manufactured. The copper coating was carried out by ion-plasma sputtering in a vacuum.
