Development of Circular Economy in Latvia

Nowadays, to develop a sustainable, low carbon, resource-efficient and competitive economy, transition to a more circular economy is essential. Circular economy is very complex issue. The aim of the research is to investigate nature of circular economy, it status and current trends in Latvia and to develop some recommendations to improve the situation. The results of the research show that circular economy implementation milestones are: legal framework, administrative conditions, economic instruments and public education and awareness.
