In this work, several pre-treatment and after-treatment procedures were compared when producing cotton fabrics coated with anatase nanoparticles. The compared after-treatments were:
rinsing and drying (method 1), drying at 100°C (method 2) and hydrothermal treatment at 97°C (method 3). The particles were synthesized using a low-temperature hydrosol method, producing an aqueous sol of anatase nanoparticles. The structure and morphology of prepared samples was analysed by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy. The photocatalytic activity was evaluated by the UV photo-degradation of methyl-orange.
