In ensuring of uniform radio-coverage and service areas and associated with this high-reliability system, in mobile radio standards 3G and 4G a lot of attention is paid to the modernization and development of antenna systems of base stations. The current antenna systems BTS, organized based on dipole antennas will not may ensure compliance with the requirements for modern standards 3G and 4G. Therefore, in mobile networks in Europe and the world introduced new antenna systems of type: Vpol omni, Xpol, XXpol, XXXpol, sector antenna and flat panel antenna, MIMO antennas, adaptive antenna arrays, etc., To meet modern technical requirements for sustainable of reception from mobile stations (while minimizing interference), determine the location of mobile stations MS, etc. The paper analyzes the existing and evaluated the prospect of antenna systems of base stations 3G - 5G generation cellular mobile communication systems.
