The results of full-scale test and numerical simulation of the dynamic behaviour of the latticed sightseeing tower are presented in the article. It is noted that for effective control of the structural vibrations, it is necessary to study the mechanisms of energy dissipation in real objects. The phase trajectories in the extended phase space were applied in order to identify sources of non-linearity.
