In the PhD thesis electric drive modernization equipment based on the use of an additional supercapacitor based energy storage is researched and developed. The use of energy storage and different management methods in electric transport was studied using a traction drive laboratory stand. A large part of the thesis was devoted to improvement and optimization of DC-DC power electronics converters proposed for the energy storage systems. Also modernization devices for improving the energy efficiency of industrial electric drives were developed and tested on developed test bench. The work includes theoretical calculations, computer modeling tasks, and practical experiment results. The total amount of work is 143 pages, it contains 137 pictures, 3 tables and 184 references to the literature sources.
