The First Three Olympians of Latvia (1924–1928) of Polish Decent

The article is dedicated to the first three Olympians of Latvia of Polish decent - the athletes Arturs Gedvillo and Stanislavs Petkevičs as well as the foot ball player Česlavs Stančiks. A. Gedvillo und Č. Stančiks participated in the Games of the VIII Olympiad in Paris while S. Petkevičs participated in the Games of the IX Olympiad in Amsterdam. The author has researched the life and the sporting activities of these sportsmen. The text is augmented with copies of photos and documents
