Abstract Concrete beams reinforced by short composite macro fibers uniformly distributed in their volume were tested mechanically in bending. The beams were loaded until the opening of the macro-crack arisen reached 5mm. The macro fibers bridging the crack were pulled out during opening of the crack. Concretes with a low, medium, and high strength, in the range from 23 MPa (5800 psi) to 120 MPa (17405 psi), were used in experiments.
