Internet of Things (IoT) revolution seems a promising technology to create new tools and options to decrease electrical energy consumption in buildings of any type. It is planned to publish series of articles dealing both with electrical and heat energy multi-point measurements and consumption reduction options. This is first article, showing current studies, obtained findings and first results, focusing on industrial and office type building electrical energy consumption, definition of problems and description of possible experimental solution.
