Contingency analysis is the study before the real event will occur. It has been extensively investigated over many years because the reliability of the power transmission system can be improved as the result. On the other hand, large-sized good-quality models of interconnected power systems for operations close to real time will be available in the nearest future all over the world. This paper discusses the problem of security assessment based on load flow calculations of the electrical power grid's large model. We hope that the proposed means will help engineers to make the contingency analysis simpler and more flexible in many practical tasks.
