Problems of Statistical Processing of Fuzzy Initial Data

The paper examines procedures of descriptive statistics for the case when the values of relevant attribute in a sample are set in the form of fuzzy categories. Alternative definitions of the concept of fuzzy random variable are given and corresponding to them procedures of analogues calculation for location and spread parameters are described. The results obtained are analysed. Based on the results, practical recommendations on how to apply procedures of fuzzy statistics are provided.
