The cladding of metals by the electric contact method is widely used in many countries of the world. At the Latvian Railway deposit of metals is an integral part in the enterprise production process. This article is devoted to the cross wing rail cladding layer of the type 1/11 DO, 60 E1 investigation. In the presented article, the analysis of switch defects is considered namely, in the cladding layer of switch elements (wing rail) at the Latvian Railway at the eight sections of the track distance for 2015, 2016, 2017.
