This paper presents comparative analysis of different spread-spectrum techniques for reduction of conducted emissions generated by strongly coupled magnetic resonant wireless power transfer (WPT) systems. The spread spectrum techniques analyzed in the paper are periodic frequency modulation, periodic duty ratio modulation and a combination of them. The analysis is based on computer simulations of the WPT system model created in PSIM environment. The effect of the spread spectrum techniques on the WPT system efficiency is also considered. Obtained results show that frequency modulation outperforms other spread spectrum techniques considered in the paper.
