One of the most urgent issues in modern study courses is how to increase students' interest, activity, creativity, develop skills and abilities, so that theoretical knowledge can be successfully applied in practice. To answer this question, the author created a portrait of a 21st-century university student, researched teaching methods, and based on her experience reading a course in Business Data Analysis Technologies, designed a course that was tailored to the students of the correspondence department. The study course includes theoretical basis, practical tasks and independent work. Considering that part-time students are scheduled in modules and contact hours are reduced a large proportion is devoted to independent work.
