Liposome interaction with the monolayer is influenced by the composition and surface pressure of the mono layer, temperature, composition and pH of the sub-phase, as well as the modification of the surface of liposomes (PEGylation). The obtained data suggest that a biomembrane model - langmuir monolayer can be used to study liposome interactions with different model membranes. The developmant system is likely to mpredict the effectiveness of liposome transfection, although additional studies and experiments are needed to unambiguously demonstrate it.
