Electric transport overhead DC grid transmission losses can be simulated in a number of ways, for example, by applying resistor subsystem or using analytical calculations. A new approach of simulating transmission losses by using a current source is described. Comparison of simulation results for different transmission resistance changing steps in the case of resistor subsystem is done.
