The article describes the existing organization of operation of the marshalling station, which does not provide for the processing of cargo flows under organizational and technical restrictions. Currently, there is the task of intensifying sorting work. To solve this problem, the technological process of work was investigated and analyzed, "bottlenecks" in the work were identified and reserves of the throughput and reprocessing capacity were identified, and measures to intensify the sorting work of Šķirotava were recommended, which would improve its technology.
