Synthesis of Some N'-substituted Hydrazide Derivatives of 2-aminobenzoic Acid

Reactions of 2-aminobenzoic acid N’-[1-hydroxycarbonyl-2-(4-R-phenyl)-4-methyl-4-cyclohexene-1-carbonyl]hydrazides with diethyl ethoxymethylenemalonate and chloroacetyl chloride lead to formation of the corresponding substituted amino derivatives, but in reactions with trifluoroacetic anhydride they undergo intramolecular acylation, 3,5-dioxopyrazolidine derivatives being formed.
