Hollow micro and minispheres are a type of cellular materials. In recent years, there has been an increasing interest in their production and use in materials science, various fields of machine-cutting, physics and mechanics. Of particular interest are hollow metal minispheres due to their low weight, impermeability, and sufficient wall strength. In this paper, one- and multilayered minispheres are considered; the possibilities of their manufacture and consolidation are described.
