The publication is devoted to the problem of stabilizing the energy parameters of the current consumed by athree-phase frequency converter with changes in its load power. The possibility is considered to install an inductor with anonlinear dependence of the inductance on the DC current component at the output of the rectification unit of the threephase alternating current supplying the frequency converter instead of the linear smoothing current inductor. In this case, with a decrease in the DC component, the inductance increases helping to maintain an approximately constant ratio of the variable component of the inductor current to the DC component in a wide range of variation of the load power of the converter. On the basis of the approximation of the magnetization curve of the inductor core, expressions are obtained for calculating both the inductor inductance and the variable component of the output current of rectifier. It is shown that the quality of the parameters of the current consumed from the mains depends on the ratio. Experimental studies have confirmed the effectiveness of the proposal.
