Between 10 February and 10 March 2020, an expressionist exhibition dedicated to the commemoration of two distinguished single-family doctors – Rasma Kaju (1934-1995) and her son Olevs Kaju (1964-2019) – was exposed at the Liepaja Mission in Riga. It is planned that when you start the new year of study, you will also be able to view the same exhibition in Liepaja – Liepaja branch of Riga Stradiņš University. Rasma Kaju was a favourite surgeon and a favourite teacher for many of the students at Liepājas Medical School, whose director she was from 1963 to 1992. Olevs Kaju was a doctor surgeon, a doctor of medical sciences. He started his professional career in Liepaja, but after the end of his medical studies he worked at P.Stradins Clinical University Hospital Surgery Clinic, headed by Professor Vladimir Utkin, Latvian Family Centre and Jurmala Hospital.
