One of the main problem of the outer space exploration is the low specific impulse of spacecraft thrusters. The main limit of the development of high power and high specific impulse ion plasma thrusters is their destruction due to overheating. In this article was developed thruster losses and efficiency estimation method, helpful to determine the need in refrigeration system and main parameters of thruster thermal balance model
