Researcher Zane Broka from RTU Institute of Power Engineering defended her doctoral thesis "Harnessing the Value of Demand-Side Flexibility in Electricity Markets" (supervisor: Prof. A. Sauhats) on 12 November 2020. At the end of the year she received for this work award for early career researchers in the field of Energy from the Latvian Academy of Sciences and Latvenergo AS. This article provides a brief introduction into the conducted research, its significance and conclusions drawn.
