Assessing Endangerment of Archaeological Heritage in Latvia: Legal Framework and Socio-Economic Aspects

The aim of the article is to provide an insight into the Latvian regulatory framework and criminal proceedings’ practice in relation to offenses in the field of archaeological heritage, as well as to look at the assessing damage caused by these offenses in the legal and socio-economic context. The study uses thematic literature, legal framework, criminal cases, documentary and statistical analysis, as well as interview materials.
