Impact screwdrivers are used in many industries - automotive, heavy industry, chemical industry, etc. c. The main technical parameters of an electric impact screwdriver are power, speed and maximum torque. In this review, attention is paid to the possibilities of reducing the power consumption of an impact screwdriver by assembling fixed threaded connections. The experiment leads to the conclusion that by reducing the value of the tightening torque, the energy consumption savings can increase even more. This is due to the fact that reducing the tightening torque value also reduces the minimum possible set initial speed, which requires less power consumption to ensure that the rotor head runs in, thus increasing the effect of screw length on the background of total power consumption. If the tightening torque value is increased, the energy consumption savings decrease. This is due to the fact that increasing the tightening torque also increases the minimum possible set initial speed, which requires higher power consumption for running the rotor head, thus reducing the effect of the screwing length on the background of total power consumption.
