A new chaotic communication system that employs antipodal chaos shift keying (ACSK) modulation and error-feedback chaotic synchronization, implemented with field-programmable gate array (FPGA) technology, is proposed and studied in this paper. A precise Simulink mathematical model of the communication system is developed and compared with its FPGA implementation, showing no differences. The mathematical model is also used to evaluate the proposed system's performance for a channel with additive white noise.
