Riga Technical University (RTU) is a leading Latvian higher education institution and has long been proud of good assessment also in the field of information technology. The study process has long been organized electronic environment (ORTUS), leading to national emergencies and COVID-19 virus Due to its spread, the RTU study process has not been suspended. On the contrary, thanks to RTU electronic for the development of the study environment, the university is able to effectively continue the study process, also in study subjects on taxation and customs, including even remote academic conferences. The aim of the article is based on the observed problems of the distance learning process implementation, to make recommendations for further improvement of the study process.
