The goal of the research is to evaluate consumers’ perception of a sharing economy. 877 respondents participated in the authors’ conducted survey. The study used multilevel modelling of sharing economy elements (dependent variable) in relation to personal characteristics (age, gender, income, industry) nested by the self-assessed level of eco-friendliness (a key predictor for the attitude towards circular economy). Besides, most popular sharing economy activities in which respondents are engaged in were determined, and the reasons for avoiding participation in the sharing economy were detected.
