The private research company Cryogenic and Vacuum System Ltd (Ventspils, Latvia) took part in the development and manufacture of the two specialized cryogenic vacuum test facilities. A feature of the one vacuum test facility is its ability to be delivered in a place (factory, research laboratory) where there is the necessity to perform space technology elements tests. The second one simulates special environmental conditions, particularly temperatures close to absolute zero, in combination with special gaseous needs, such as helium, hydrogen, etc. This feature of the test facility allows complex tests, such as studying the properties of fuel tanks’ thermal insulation of launch vehicles using liquid hydrogen as fuel and helium to pressurize such fuel tanks (close to welding lines in particular). The feature of the second test facility is its mobility, which allows it to move this test facility between manufacturers of space technology elements and use it based on these enterprises. The article presents some information about the specific thing concerning these test facilities and the results of some studies that were obtained using them.
