RTU Scientists are Developing Technology for Natural Thermal Packaging
2021
Ilze Vamža, Vivita Priedniece

In order to replace polystyrene, which is harmful to nature, scientists of the Institute of Energy Systems and Environment of Riga Technical University (RTU) are developing a natural thermal packaging material. The material protects against temperature fluctuations and mechanical damage, such as impacts. It could be used to transport goods. The work of the scientists has been licensed by two Latvian companies.
