The alternations of magnetic conductivity in the Homopolar Inductor Alternators (HIA) depends not only on the alternations of the air gap dimensions (which is between the stator tooth and the tooth-slot section of the rotor) but also on the shape of the longitudinal section of the rotor tooth (top view). This paper shows how various shapes of the longitudinal section of the stator tooth of a HIA affect the value and sinusoidality of the no-load EMF. In this paper, attention is paid only to the tooth zone, where the width of the rotor and stator teeth is equal to half the rotor pole pitch.
