So Natural You Could Even Eat It! A Wooden Refrigerator that Works without Electricity

"At the institute, we think a lot about how we can make good use of what is not yet fully utilized," says Ilze Vamža, a researcher at the Institute of Energy Systems and Environment of the Riga Technical University. She and other researchers of the institute have created light and environmentally friendly thermal packaging from wood residues and needles, which would otherwise be left lying in the forest. In the future, this technology is planned to be developed in order to produce building insulation material in a similar way.
