This paper studies nonlinear phenomena in a digitally controlled buck converter under current mode control. The bifurcation diagrams and the subsequent analysis of the obtained results allow the identification of typical chaotization scenarios and smooth and non-smooth phenomena. It is demonstrated that this type of energy conversion circuit in a pre-defined parameter range could be used as the source of robust chaotic oscillations without the appearance of periodic rare attractors.
