In this paper the exact-analytical solution of a similar problem for a circular channel of radius R with a split of finite width 2L oil the Intend side of the channel is presented. The numerical calculation gives the M-shapcd Velocity profile in the entmnce region of the channel at large llartmann numbers. A physical explanation of the M-shapcd velocity's profile is given. Moreover, an asymptotic solution of this problem at large Harimann numbers (in the limit as Ha → ∞) is obtained. Similar, sharper M-shaped velocity profiles for a plane channel obtained by numerieal calculation from the author's work [12] are found for the first time in this report.
