Blending of poly(ethylene terephtalate) (PET) with copolymer of ethylene-octene (EOC), is an effective way of modifying properties of primary and secondary semi-crystalline PET. It was determined that modulus of elasticity, stress at yield and stress at break insignificantly decreases with increasing concentration of modifying additive. Consequently stress at break and relative elongation at break of certain investigated compositions (depending upon the composition and manufacturing technology of the test specimens) approaches the characteristic values typical for primary unmodified PET with crystallinity degree of 12 %.
