Various drawback of drugs, such as rapid clearance, suboptimal biodistribution, low intracellular absorbtion and toxicity which may limit their therapeutic efficacy, can be diminished by loading the drug into delivery systems. Decoration of liposomes with chitosan is one of the approaches to enhance of their physico-chemical and biochemical properties. The coating mechanism of liposomes with chitosan is mainly based on electrostatic forces.
