This paper deals with an automatic assessment system – MATLAB Grader. This system is for assigning problems for students, solving problems using MATLAB language, and giving automated grades. The drawback of the system is a lack of possibility to use various task versions. In this paper, we will solve this drawback and describe the way to provide various task versions for each task. We will use a random number generator inside each task and also provide a way to set a number of variants for each task variation and its assessment.
