Sustainable Development of the Professional Education during the Period of COVID-19

The global challenges that humanity is going through all over the world require new opportunities to face them. People in difficult situations such as pandemics, floods, fires in different regions, earthquakes, etc., must find solutions to overcome them, solutions that rely mostly on artificial intelligence and digitization of many life processes. The teaching process in the unusual conditions during Covid19 is strongly supported by information technology for students' acquisition of theoretical and practical concepts. The analyzes developed in recent years, after the earthquakes in several regions of Europe and the COVID-19 pandemic, raise awareness and prepare the new generation to solve problems through innovative educational methods. This paper develops the analysis of the situation created in the conditions after the earthquake of 2019 and the period of COVID-19 in Albania, as well as raises the structure of sustainable development of the professional education system in ordinary situations and not only. The results were obtained with the help of technological tools on questionnaires designed in public vocational schools in Albania for the school year 2020-2021. The main issue on which the study is based is the evaluation of the main challenges and factors through innovative methods for the development of the educational process, mainly practical work in abnormal conditions, not only in the conditions of our country, but also in the countries of the Western Balkans. The purpose of this study is to identify and build strategies for sustainable development in the field of professional education, development which must rely on the digital ecosystem to help raise appropriate intellectual capacities, as well as alleviate the lack of necessary infrastructure.
