The article proposes an approach to monitor the serial structures operating under various conditions. The technical basis of the system is formed by film sensors, which enable the delivery of compact and inexpensive integrated measurement systems for serial structures. The methodological part of the system prototype is provided by modal passport methods based on further development of primary estimates of modal parameters. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed solutions, 5 specimens of a typical design with small mass-size differences due to handmade production were manufactured. Modal properties simulation of the typical design and dynamic tests of all specimens allowed experimental verification of the proposed methods functioning. The structural properties variation between specimens was investigated and its influence on modal parameters. In particular, the influence of static loads, temperature and damage size on modal parameters was investigated. The conclusions about integral modal distance as the most effective parameter for health monitoring of thin-walled structures are introduced.
