Violations of Student Discipline and Punishments in Latvian Schools in the Interwar Period

Discipline brings order to a person's life and of any institution, does not allow chaos. One of the dominant forms of discipline around the world countries had corporal punishment until the middle of the 20th century. Them in the interwar period in Latvia it was no longer used in educational institutions. In some cases, educators wanted to exclude pupils from school. After the court verdict, the pupils were placed in juvenile detention for criminal offenses in criminal colonies in Irlava (for boys) and Ropaži (for girls).
