Highlights • Life Cycle Assessment of F. lumbricalis cascade biorefinery in the Baltic region. • The functional unit as 20 kg pigments, 100 kg proteins, and 200 kg carrageenan. • Total environmental impact is 140.08 Pt, with 63.28 Pt from carrageenan extraction. • Seaweed residues used as fertilizer to reduce environmental impact by −8.82 Pt. • Renewable energy mix lowers biorefinery impact by 61%, down to 53.97 Pt.
