In recent years, bio-based acrylates from vegetable oils have gained traction in polymer chemistry for their renewability, but they face challenges in strength, durability, and compatibility.1,2 Adding lignocellulose components like nanocellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin helps overcome these issues, especially when nanocellulose is surface-treated to improve compatibility. This research highlights the importance of bio-based acrylates and their potential in film production, coatings, and 3D printing. The study focuses on developing lignocellulose composites using vegetable oil-based acrylate resins, exploring various components and surface treatments to enhance properties like strength and printing precision.
