The technological world in the 21st century is developing at a very fast pace. What was topical a couple of months ago might not be relevant anymore. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the teachers were required to respond to changes overnight. Together with the changes in the educational system and the fast pace at which information technology is moving towards the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the needs of English as foreign language learners are rapidly changing. It is especially noticeable when it comes to the language needs of ICT students. The fact that most of the coursebooks designed for the students of English for ICT have not been edited for more than a decade makes the process of material selection even harder for ESP teachers. The present paper aims to establish the ICT learner needs, wants and expectations from the English language course (two needs analysis questionnaires were administered to establish that; one was carried out to establish the needs, wants and expectations of the learners; the other was aimed at the establishment of the requirements set by the potential employers of the learners) and evaluation andselection of the coursebook which would better meet both the needs set by the learners themselves and the expectations of the potential employers.
