Investments play a key role in the development of enterprises, especially in the extractive industry, where businesses are characterized by high capital intensity. Investments in the extractive sector require a preliminary assessment of the investment attractiveness of an enterprise, which is important for investors, analysts, and managers. In this context, it is relevant to develop approaches for studying the factors of enterprise investment attractiveness in extractive industries. The authors of the paper examine these factors using the example of the gold mining industry. The study evaluates factors such as production stability, financial stability, environmental and social responsibility, as well as macroeconomic and geopolitical factors. The most significant factors are profitability and financial stability.
