Pattern-Based Model-Driven UI Prototyping from Two-Hemisphere Models
Proceedings of the IEEE 66th International Scientific Conference on Information Technology and Management Science of Riga Technical University (ITMS) 2025

The use of user interface patterns in software development is becoming increasingly essential due to their ability to improve consistency, usability, and development efficiency. This paper explores a model-driven approach to user interface development by automatically generating user interface prototypes from structured process and concept models of the two-hemisphere model. The study highlights the potential and challenges of using user interface patterns in this context, describes the transformation process, and presents a case application in e-commerce. An automated transformation algorithm is proposed, leveraging pattern classification, keyword extraction, and context refinement.
