The coastal zone of the Baltic Sea is a region possessing a high potential of the wind energy. The paper presents generalized data on the electric energy production and consumption in the Baltic countries for 2007. The results of years-long observations on the density fluctuations of wind energy at a height of 60 m in the coastal zone have been obtained using wind measuring sets of the LOGGER 9200 Symphonie type. It is proposed to use the masts of GSM mobile communication antenna for measuring the wind energy at a height of up to 100 m. The distribution of the noise level is shown for the wind power park surroundings.
