The Main Principles of Hazardous Waste Management in Latvia

Hazardous waste management – eternal, inevitable ecological problem, prevention of which is not realizable, but there are possible effective methodes of it’s solution in the process of problem’s origination. The most sharply the problem has been developed together in the period of industrial progress in the Latvia. Actually in the relative stagnancy condicion of the Latvian industry the problem can’t be regardes as avoidable. The import of electrical equipments and auto increases annually, chemical preparations are spreadly in use, the significant part in the total amount of hazardous waste produce medicine. To manage Latvian problem of hazardous waste effective, is necessary to follow the principles of hazardous waste management, wich were worked out in accordance with EU legislation.
