Technology for modification of metallized polyethylene terephtalate waste (mPET) with elastomer (E) is described. Certain tensile and flexural stress-strain characteristics, as well as thermomechanical and calorimetric properties of the developed mPET/E are investigated. Experimental results show that tensile modulus of mPET is higher, while tensile strength and, especially ultimate elongation, lower than those of the neat polymer. However it should be mentioned that addition of E allows reduce brittleness and increase toughness of mPET.
