Analysis of Fiber Strength Dependence on Its Length by Weakest-Link Approach. Part 2: Analysis of Test Data
Mechanics of Composite Materials 2008
Jānis Andersons, Jurijs Paramonovs

In first part of the paper the extended weakest link distribution family is developed on the basis of six probability structures. Different versions of specification of component of these structures are given. Specific formulae of fiber strength distribution functions are obtained. The method of the model parameter estimation, results of processing of glass, flax, carbon fiber and carbon bundle datasets, comparison of the different models are presented in second part of the paper.
