Analysis of Influence of the Concrete Carbonation on Reinforced Concrete Bridge Service Life in Latvia
2007
Kristaps Gode, Ainārs Paeglītis

The analysis of this paper has been based on data from carbonation tests performed during bridge inspections in Latvia and a simplified carbonation model. The results show that the concrete used in bridges built in Latvia has sufficient carbonation resistance to ensure the service life of 100 years if the minimal concrete cover is at least 40 mm.
